The
Time Attack is the evolution of the spectator dexterity events
that used to be held behind the library in town. It takes
its name from a highly competitive Japanese Circuit event
where cars are built to the limits to complete one lap on
a track the fastest possible. But the event is closer to the
SOLO and SOLO II in the U.S.
Having no permanant facilities it only makes sense that the Club focus on these type of events for now.

The
events consist of an open road that is then laid out with
cones. Participants must negotiate the course as fast as possible
trying not to hit cone, for which there is a 2 second penalty
added to their times.
The
main aim of the CMA with these events is to try and get people
off the street and into a controlled space where they can
explore the limits of their cars. There is no better lesson
that to push your car to the limit and lose control, its not
something they forget soon. The focus of these events are car control and skill, not speed. The speeds are no more than the average speed on the roads.
But
don't think this is just a fun event, winners have a chance
to take home various prizes.
Time
Attack is held every month so check the calendar for event
schedules.
